Kappa Packaging is one of Europe's largest companies operating in the production, development and sale of containerboard, solid board, corrugated and solid board packaging, graphic and specialty board. With a workforce of some 16,500 employees, Kappa Packaging achieves sales of almost Eur 3.0 billion. Kappa Packaging has 115 production sites spread over 17 European countries.

Kappa Packaging is a large supplier of containerboard and solid board, manufactured from both fresh and recycled fibres with a total capacity of 3,300 kilotonnes.

Kappa Packaging is one of Europe's leading suppliers of corrugated and solid board packaging, holding a market share of 12% for corrugated board packaging. Due to constant innovation and development programmes, Kappa Packaging strives to expand this position.

Supply chain

Kappa Packaging concentrates its activities on delivering lowest cost of ownership to customers, recognising that total costs very much include supply chain and inventory costs. Great emphasis is also placed on high quality printing, involving the development of specialised white top board grades and investment in the most modern equipment?together with the skills necessary to ensure the continuous development of innovative packaging solutions.

Various departments work closely together during their research into new applications. The most involved departments are the Kappa Packaging Development Centres, of which the largest are located in Hoogeveen (The Netherlands) and Pitea (Sweden). With these departments Kappa Packaging focuses on innovation and new solutions in a way that pushes the limits and leads the way to new ways of working.
