Acreo contributes to increased competitiveness, growth and entrepreneurship by refining and transferring research results into viable products and proceses in microelectronics and optics.
Acreo fullfills its mission by carrying out contract research and technical development. Acreo's role is to bridge the gap between academic research and industrial commercialisation. We can even extend our R&D projects into small-scale production thanks to our ISO 9001:2000 certified lab resources.
Acreo's competence
Acreo provides contract R&D and production resources for new innovative products in microelectronics and optics. Our activities range from basic research through development and to the final stage of production. We have the competence to handle all your needs from modeling and design, and processing and manufacturing to the final product characterisation. Hence Acreo can assist you in any stage of the process of bringing ideas to market.
Our competence spectrum is uniquely broad and encompasses Integrated Circuit Design, Microelectronic Process Technologies, Optical Components and Systems, Packaging Technologies including Organic Electronics, Robust Electronics, Sensor Technologies, Visual Interfaces, and SME Services. In addition to our own research we foster an extensive network in the research community to ensure that we have access to the latest technology and best research. Acreo works with many different types of assignments ranging from feasibility studies, long term research projects, prototyping and productification, to verification and test.
Facts about Acreo
Acreo AB is a non-listed limited company. The majority of the shares are held by the Association FMOF. The minority owner is the holding company IRECO, controlled by the Swedish Ministry of Industry and the Foundation KKS. At present Acreo has about 180 employees, 1/3 with a PhD degree.
